The Problem
Sri Lanka has no regulatory framework governing care homes, day centres or home care agencies. There is no inspection system, no mandatory training, no public registry of providers, and no mechanism for families to raise concerns. Vulnerable people — the elderly, those with disabilities, those with dementia — are entirely unprotected.
The Solution
KaydenCares Framework has built this infrastructure. A live, searchable database of every care home, day centre, home care agency, autism centre and hospice in Sri Lanka — with real-time capacity, occupancy and vacancy data available to government planners, families and referrers.
Independent Inspection & Rating
KCF-trained inspectors carry out scheduled and unannounced site visits, assessing providers across seven quality domains. Every provider receives a public rating: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, or Inadequate.
Safeguarding & Notifiable Events
Mandatory event reporting for deaths, serious injuries, safeguarding concerns, hospital admissions and infection outbreaks — with automated routing to CCOs and KCF duty managers, ensuring no critical incident goes unacknowledged.
Trilingual Training Portal
Free, nationally available training in English, Sinhala and Tamil — covering safeguarding, medication safety, mental capacity, infection control, dementia, and neurodiversity. All modules aligned to international standards.
Public Consultations
A structured platform for stakeholder engagement on proposed legislation and policy reform — enabling government ministries to collect votes and structured comments from providers, families, professionals and the public.
Benefits & Entitlements Register
A trilingual, searchable directory of every government and charity welfare scheme available to vulnerable people in Sri Lanka — mapped by target group, geography and eligibility, with direct application links.
